A Triple Conjunction in Libra: Letting Go and Beginning Anew

Today October 8, and tomorrow October 9, we have a triple conjunction happening between Mercury (which is currently retrograde), the Sun and Mars at 15 and 16 degrees of Libra.  This triple conjunction caught my eye several weeks ago because I knew it was rare for both Mercury and Mars to join the Sun at the same time. 

The Fable of the Eagle and the Lark found in Predictive Astrology by Bernadette Brady

I'd like to begin today with a fable called The Eagle and The Lark which I found in Bernadette Brady's book, Predictive Astrology, The Eagle and The Lark.

This is the perfect medicine for this moment.

I step off of the bridge of light and find myself on a sunlit path. The white wolf is in front of me making sure I am following her, and a hummingbird flutters beside my shoulder. I can sense Jesus and Mother Mary behind me. They guide me to a beautiful garden, lush with colorful aromas and blossoming scents. I sit down on the bench with Mother Mary and I understand that I am in the Garden of Forgiveness.

I've known for months that the month of March 2020 was going to be particularly trying time, especially this week, March 16-23. I wasn't sure exactly how the energy would manifest, but I can remember looking at the astrological line-up and thinking, "This is going to be big and difficult."

The alarm sounds in the dark of morning, and all of the things you have to do immediately fill your mind...but the covers feel oh so warm and inviting. You were dreaming about reaching great heights and exploring unknown terrains. It was a nice dream filled with curiosity and movement. There was a sense of progress and ascension.  You don't want to leave this world yet...you wonder what's behind the next door.  And yet, you must go.  You have things to do.

I've been trying to find the words to communicate what is coming into my awareness these days, and I realize that the subject is so large and my experience feels so meaningful that I could write a book. And I might. Why not?

Jupiter is big and bold and give us hope. Jupiter is the energy behind inspiration. Take a moment to remember how you felt the last time you were really inspired by someone. Maybe it filled you with hope? Maybe it filled you with ideas about how you could make the world a better place?

What is an Out-of-Bounds (OOB) planet? A planet is considered to be OOB when its declination in the sky is beyond 23°27’. In this position, the planet is outside the boundary limits of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun.

I love astrology. I really do. I've seen so many articles posted about today's Full Moon in Aries and they are all chock full of good advice and valuable information describing the energies at play. But my favorite thing to do is to see how it moves through my life.....and this full moon is everything to me.

So.....What is a Uranus opposition? Well, in Astrology, a Uranus opposition happens around the age of 42 and it is the time when Uranus comes into the exact opposite position in the sky from the moment you were born.  So...how does that show up in life?  Uranus is a disruptor.  He brings a mix of chaos and change.  He likes to hold tension inside of the current structures of your life until what isn't working collapses so that something new can emerge.

What is contentment? What does contentment feel like in my body? ...in my heart? What words fill my mind when I'm feeling content? Where does contentment come from? And...How do I combine it with my everyday activities? These are the questions I’ve been resonating with lately and taking into my reiki journeys.

Written October 2, 2019, As Pluto turns direct in 20 degrees of Capricorn on the same day that Mercury enters Scorpio, this quote from Carl Jung may be a helpful reminder of how to work with the times. ⁣⁣“That which we most need to find is where we least want to look.”⁣⁣Yes....Pluto can feel emotionally heavy. He asks us to do a lot of heavy lifting by entering the shadows of our psyches to find the treasures hidden within. Mercury in Scorpio will help with this task.
