SuperMoon in Virgo Reiki Meditation

Tomorrow morning, 2/19/2019 at 10:10am, the Moon will finally cross over the threshold of 29° of Leo and enter into 0° of Virgo in order to come into direct opposition with the Sun. In doing so, she (once again) becomes his greatest reflection and enters into her greatest fullness. Due to her proximity to the Earth, this will also be a SuperMoon. In the mutable Earth sign of Virgo, the Moon resonates here with refined integrity and clear precision in her craft. The Moon has a special relationship with mutable signs because she too understands what it means to be changeable in nature and, also understands that it is this changeability that makes her so attractive and mysterious to her admirers.

We also have another grand meeting in the sky today. Saturn and Venus have come together in the sign of Capricorn for the first time since December 2017. With Saturn, we have an authentic discipline, a willingness to face limitations, and the ability to persevere through times of isolation or loneliness in order to reach goals. And with Venus, we have the beautiful warmth that comes through loving connection and harmonious relationship. Venus meets up with Saturn today to take the edge off of things that have been tough, to soften the limitations a bit, and to create opportunities for connection that are warm, authentic, and rooted in life experience.

I loved this image of the warm, bright light of the Moon against the bare tree of winter. Exposed by the bright light of the Moon, the tree stands willingly, in her naked vulnerability, stripped down to the structures of her branches, without the dressing of leaves to cover her truth. It has a very Saturnian quality to it while the warmth of the full Moon at her peak radiance has a very Venusian quality to it. Her beauty is undeniable, and yet, there is such stark contrast between the tree and the Moon. Their pairing captures the essence of what happens when contradictory energies meet. They see each other, they share the same space in time, and they still honor each other. Each perfect in their imperfection.
