Full Moon in Scorpio on Beltane

The Full Moon in Scorpio on Beltane

There are moments in the year when the veils feel thin and the pulse of life rises close to the surface. The Full Moon in Scorpio meeting Beltane is one of those moments. With many planets moving through Fire and Air, and the Sun and Moon fully illuminated in Earth and Water, this is a convergence of all the elements. Water and earth, fire and air, come together, bringing balance, depth, and vitality.

The earth is alive in her spring emergence. The body awakens with breath and movement. The heart is invited to open to the fullness of life and the light it offers.

While the Sun in Taurus calls us into the simple pleasures of being, the Full Moon in Scorpio draws us into the deeper waters of the psyche. Beltane invites a celebration of fertility, sensuality, and the sacred spark of creation. Together, they form a powerful invitation to honor the rhythms of the Moon and the living cycles of nature.

The Full Moon in Scorpio: A Return to Emotional Truth

This is a deeply sensual Full Moon. The combination of these energies overflows with beauty, passion, and aliveness. Yet beneath that current, there is a deeper invitation. This Full Moon asks for sincerity and honesty. It is not quick to trust. It needs time to bond at deeper levels before revealing its vulnerabilities.

The luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, are always in a dance together, intimately connected. We are given the opportunity to witness the quiet growth process between what is seeded at the New Moon and what emerges at the Full Moon, again and again, if we choose to pay attention. All of it unfolding in its own timing, touching our lives in subtle and often mysterious ways.

Full Moons are always oppositions. The Moon stands opposite the Sun in order to be fully illuminated. Oppositions are inherently relational. The Moon teaches us how to nurture and care for ourselves so we can feel safe and supported, while the Sun expresses our vitality and life force.

With the Scorpio Moon opposing the Taurus Sun, we are invited to reflect on the depth of emotion that can arise when we fully inhabit our bodies in ways that cultivate calm, safety, and presence. With a keen sense of observation and perception, the Scorpio Moon carries strong intuition and emotional intelligence. In opposition, the Taurus Sun invites us to explore pleasure through embodied presence.

Feel the warmth of the sun on the skin. The scent of flowers in bloom. The feeling of soil beneath the feet.

These simple experiences draw us back into the body. They remind us that we are not separate from nature, but part of the same living system.

This Moon does not remain on the surface. It moves through the realms of instinct and memory, mystery and truth. Scorpio is a sign of emotional depth, honesty, and willpower. When the Full Moon rises here, it illuminates what has been hidden, denied, or quietly growing beneath the surface. This moon whispers, “If your intuition speaks, trust it.”

The Scorpio Moon is no stranger to shadow work. Many people associate the shadows only with what is difficult or frightening. Yet there is often beauty there as well. Hidden treasures. Unrealized gifts. Parts of the self that have not yet been fully welcomed or expressed. Places within that are still waiting for love, forgiveness, and acceptance.

Scorpio has a natural capacity to move toward these spaces with intention. Not to dwell in darkness, but to bring awareness and healing.

What if each time we entered unexplored or hidden terrain within our hearts and lives, we did so with openness and quiet awe. With a gentle expectation that something meaningful is waiting to be revealed. Not just something to release, but something to reclaim. A hidden truth that brings clarity, renewal, and a deeper sense of personal power.

Let us hold this intention for ourselves and for one another as we move through this Full Moon portal.

Beltane: Fire, Fertility, and the Living Earth

Beltane arrives as a celebration of life in full expression. It marks the midpoint between spring and summer, a time when the earth is fertile and the energy of creation is abundant. Traditionally honored with fire rituals, dance, and community gatherings, Beltane carries a spirit of joy, embodiment, and renewal. The fires of Beltane symbolize light, passion, and the spark of life itself.

Rooted in Celtic tradition, Beltane was celebrated with great fires, music, and communal gatherings that honored fertility, protection, and the return of life in full bloom. One of the most well-known expressions of this celebration is the maypole tradition, where a tall pole is adorned with ribbons, flowers, and greenery. Participants dance around it, weaving the ribbons together in rhythmic patterns.

Symbolically, the maypole reflects fertility and creation. It represents the union of masculine and feminine energies, the meeting of earth and sky, and the generative force that gives rise to life. The dance itself carries a sense of joy, movement, and connection, bringing individuals together in a shared expression of vitality.

At its heart, Beltane is a celebration of life. Whether honored in community or in quiet solitude, it remains a living expression of renewal, aliveness, and the sacred rhythms of the natural world.

Uranus in Gemini

I would be remiss not to mention the recent entry of Uranus into Gemini on April 26. This shift brings a quickening to life. These are all qualities of Uranus, a planet I often refer to as the Great Liberator:

  • Flashes of insight. The epiphany.

  • Breakthroughs in awareness.

  • New opportunities emerging in unexpected ways.

  • Disruptions that lead to progress.

  • A touch of chaos on the path to freedom.

  • Rebellion against old paradigms

With so much Fire and Air moving through the celestial landscape, there can be a passion to pursue ideas with fervor and enthusiasm which can in turn lead to a lot of activity, movement and information gathering. There can be a strong impulse to initiate, explore, and move quickly from one idea to the next at a fast pace. Energy builds. Momentum increases. Information flows rapidly. It can feel exciting, but also overwhelming if we lose connection to the body.

This is where the dynamism of the Taurus Sun/Full Moon in Scorpio offers balance.

It invites us to slow down. To feel. To return to the breath and the body.

Uranus in Gemini offers a powerful opening for working with the breath as a pathway to liberation. The breath has a way of moving through what feels stuck, creating space where there was once tension or limitation.

As some of you know, I have been actively pursuing my certification in breathwork. This is one of the ways I have chosen to consciously work with this transit in my own chart.

I have been offering sessions that weave together deep exploration of the birth chart with guided breathwork. It has been a powerful and healing process for the clients I have worked with.

If you feel called to explore this work, I have a couple of spaces open here.

Working with the Energy: Ritual, Breath, and Presence

We can engage consciously with the energies at play. It does not require elaborate ceremony. What matters most is sincerity and presence.

You might begin by creating a simple space of intention. Allow this space to reflect your connection to the elements. A small bowl of water, a candle or fire, some soil or stones, and incense or essential oils can create a meaningful container.

The container matters. Create a space that feels safe and nourishing. Follow your intuition.

You may also choose to honor this time through movement or time in nature. Walk barefoot on the earth if possible. Feel the connection between your body and the living world. Allow yourself to experience pleasure in simple ways. This is not indulgence. It is remembrance.

If something feels intense, move gently. There is no need to force transformation. Trust the timing of your process.

Breathwork is especially supportive. Even a few conscious breaths can shift your awareness and bring clarity.

Journaling can also be a powerful tool. Reflect on what has been building, what has reached fullness, and what is ready to be released. Here are a few questions to consider:

What has been building for you since the New Moon in Aries on April 17?
What has now reached full expression?
What is ready to be released?
What passions have been ignited in you? What are you pursuing?
How can you remain present in the midst of a lot of motion and activity?
What keeps you grounded? How do you honor your body?
What emotions have been asking for your attention?

Transformation does not always happen in dramatic moments. Often, it unfolds through small, consistent choices.

A willingness to be honest. A commitment to care for the body. A practice of listening to the inner voice.

Write without editing. Let the truth come forward.

A Simple Ritual

Every morning, I follow a simple, quiet ritual. I step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and walk barefoot through my garden, a space I have been tending with care and intention for the past four years.

In the spring, it hums with life and renewal.

After the cold, inward months of winter, I find myself returning to this space with a deep sense of anticipation. Taurus Season and the Scorpio Full Moon bring a kind of rebirth that I feel not only in the garden, but within myself as well.

Many of the flowers are still buds, a perfect image for Beltane, the midpoint of Spring and Summer.

The roses and peonies I’m sharing in these photos are growing in my garden. They are young and shy, still holding their blossoms closed, or slowly beginning to open, waiting for the right moment for full expression.

I quietly cheer them on and talk to them. I take time to acknowledge each one for where it is in its journey. Every moment feels precious.

It is hard to describe the joy I feel during these quiet morning hours of prayer, attention, and devotion.

This personal practice is deeply nourishing, centering, and grounding. As Mother Teresa once said, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

My garden has become a living prayer. She speaks in her own way, and I listen. I respond in kind. There is a quiet exchange, a subtle resonance, where something deeper than words begins to move. My heart fills with gratitude for the gift of my life.

In a world that often leans toward urgency and constant motion, there is quiet strength in choosing to slow down and stay connected to what truly matters.

Time spent in the garden reflects this truth so clearly. The plants grow so slowly, yet consistently, under the right conditions. Growth is not something that can be forced. It unfolds through attention, patience, and care. A flower does not rush its way to the surface. It responds to light, nourishment, and timing, opening only when it is ready.

There is a kind of wisdom in this. A reminder that life moves in cycles, and that what we tend with consistency will, in time, begin to take shape. The garden does not demand perfection. It asks for presence.

The garden teaches us to trust this process. To find calm in the steady act of showing up. To understand that there is beauty in tending to what we value, again and again, without needing immediate results. Over time, something meaningful begins to form, rooted in care and supported by patience.

This Beltane, I will be spending time in my garden with a small fire in the fire pit. There is something deeply grounding about tending a flame on Beltane. A quiet presence. A steady warmth.

I recently birthed a drum, and I feel called to awaken her under this Full Moon.

I will sit with the fire and sing, allowing the rhythm to rise naturally. There is something ancient in this practice. A remembering. A way of listening and responding at the same time.

This drum came into my life through the guidance of my teacher, whose work I deeply respect. If you feel called to explore this path, you can learn more here.

If you are also singing or dancing under the light of the Moon, enjoying the spring air, perhaps gathered around a fire, I will be there with you in spirit. May our songs find each other on the wind.

Conclusion

The Full Moon in Scorpio on Beltane brings us into a powerful meeting of depth and vitality. It invites us to feel deeply, release what is no longer aligned, and create from a place of truth.

This is a time to honor the cycles of life. To trust the wisdom of the body. To move with intention rather than urgency.

Return to your breath. Return to your body. Return to what feels true.

Like the garden, nothing needs to be rushed. Each bloom arrives in its own time.
