Written October 2, 2019, As Pluto turns direct in 20 degrees of Capricorn on the same day that Mercury enters Scorpio, this quote from Carl Jung may be a helpful reminder of how to work with the times. “That which we most need to find is where we least want to look.”Yes....Pluto can feel emotionally heavy. He asks us to do a lot of heavy lifting by entering the shadows of our psyches to find the treasures hidden within. Mercury in Scorpio will help with this task.
A few suggestions: Don’t resist. Enter into that which feels uncomfortable. Contemplate the experience with honesty and fortitude. And then from a place of sincerity, transform what is within your power to transform...even if that change happens only within your own internal landscape. Read that last part again. That is a lot and it is enough. This is what we are being tasked with right now. Look into your own birth chart for where the signs Scorpio and Capricorn show up. Also consider any planets within 13-20 degrees as they are being sandwiched between Saturn and Pluto right now. This makes matters more serious for those areas of your life. The words “edgy consternation” come to my mind as a way of describing this combination. Cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer) are especially challenged right now. Pluto has a lot to do with personal power and places where you give your power away. Mercury in Scorpio has the power of perception. Regardless of circumstance, you always have the “power of choice” in how you respond to the events as they arise. Remember that. I personally have my natal Jupiter at 16 degrees of Aries being hit hard today by the square it is making to this Saturn-Pluto aspect. I find myself today seeking medical treatment for my very sick child, who is also being impacted with her Natal Sun in Aries at 16 degrees. Astrology is not a concept outside of us.
