Full Moon in Sagittarius
On this Full Moon in Sagittarius, I was blessed with the opportunity to sit with Shavora, medicine carriers of the Yawanawa tribe, at an altar led entirely by women.
It's true. I could’ve spent my time writing a blog describing the energy of this Full Moon, but sometimes I just want to fully experience the astrology to its highest expression in my life.
I will say this. This Full Moon aligned perfectly with my natal Moon at 9° Sagittarius, and it has been a beautiful experience. My heart is filled with so much light, love, and faith. I am deeply grateful for my life.
I have the asteroid, Hebe on my natal moon.
Hebe is the Greek goddess who served ambrosia, the nectar of immortality to the Gods.
It couldn’t be a more perfect translation of how this lunar contact moved through my life.
Sitting with indigenous women, listening to songs in their native language, and learning about the ancient wisdom of plant medicine, I couldn't help but feel the Sagittarian blessing of exploration, learning, and cultural exchange flowing through my body, mind, and heart.
My 19-year-old daughter was also on a journey of her own during this Full Moon. She drove to the beach by herself for the first time. She is still new to highway driving, and there is a very large bridge she must cross to reach the shore.
I was doing a relatively good job keeping my worry at bay, but I could feel it beginning to creep in.
As I sat waiting for the ceremony to begin, I pulled up my chart.
I have the asteroid Adeona on my Sagittarius Ascendant. Adeona is the Roman goddess of safe returns.
She protects travelers, especially children, as they take their first steps into the world, embark on journeys, or leave home for the first time. Families would pray to Adeona when a child went off to school, began a trip, or moved away as an adult.
I couldn’t have received a more perfect message in that moment.
Open your heart and breathe.
She's got this.
She's going to be just fine.
It was exactly the message I needed in that moment.
Immediately, I felt myself settle into the experience with greater ease and trust.
Studying the asteroids in my chart has revealed layers of wisdom that are so uncannily accurate, they continue to leave me in awe.
The universe guides us in ways that often lie beyond our awareness and understanding.
Even after decades of studying astrology, I remain endlessly inspired by this craft.
